Sunday 6th of June was a fine warm bright day for parisioners and their families to come to the graveyards at St Joseph’s to remember their family members and friends at the annual blessing of the graves ceremony. Fr Neeson was assisted by Fr McManus. Whilst the graves are maintained throughout the year a lot of extra hard work ahead of the day ensured all of the graves, paths, hedges and grass areas were presented to look their best. This year the Church at Lisbane was also opened for visitors to go and remember those who are laid to rest there.
After the ceremony the social committee provided welcome refreshments in the Old School for everyone, on what was a very warm day. This was a great opportunity for visitors who have moved away from the parish to meet up with old friends and reminisce about old times.
