McKenna Community Centre resounded to the lively sounds of Ceili Music on the evening of Sunday 27th August for our Annual Summer Ceili. Dancers from far and wide were once again kept on their toes to the lively jigs and reels of Raymond Loney. Our Bean a Tí for the evening Claire Hughes kept the dancers on the right tracks too and kept the dancers on the floor even gently coaxing some so that everyone enjoyed themselves.
We had dancers from our own Parish and neighbouring Parishes along with visitors from Belfast, Bangor and even Italy and the USA and Canada.
To keep the dancers energy levels up a delicious supper was served by our Parish Social Committee who earlier in the day had been preparing the hall for the evening.
Many thanks are due to everyone who helped in any way to make the night a success, before, during and after the Ceili and not forgetting St Joseph’s GAC for the use of their premises.
Our next Ceili is planned for 28th December, so keep an eye on the Parish Bulletin, local press and Facebook page for more details nearer the time.
